Morning departure and about 12 hours behind the original schedule - Cathay Pacific flight 2174 departs off Rw 23 bound for Hong Kong. CP's semi-regular cargo only flights operate during the Covid-19 pandemic and border restrictions. These flights had commenced in June 2020 on Sunday mornings in and out of Adelaide for a few months before ceasing, routing HKG-SYD-ADL-HKG . They had recommenced on the same routing earlier in 2021 but were scheduled into Adelaide late on Saturday nights as the above flight had originally been. For reasons not known this leg had been delayed by approximately 12 hours allowing an opportunity for a daylight photo.

Sunday only, cargo only CPA flight HKG-SYD-ADL-HKG about to land on runway 23. This was supposed to have been the last of these flights, but the story doing the rounds is that there may be another one although the very light loading added to this in Adelaide would seemingly be hardly worthwhile for the airline.
