The Junkers CL.I metal attack aircraft first flew on 4 May 1918. A small series was built, including three CLS.I seaplanes. The German army's CL aircraft category was for light armed reconnaissance aircraft. In practice there was little difference with regular C class aircraft and this plane has a C class serial number. Junkers factory designations were J10 for the CL.I and J11 for the floatplane. Photo from: San Diego Air & Space Museum
