A D-Day veteran having dropped paratroops near Picauville, Normandy. Here on VIP duties and based at RAF Mildenhall (EGUN) from 1959. It was frequently heard/seen on UK airways in the early 1960s. Later converted to EC-47Q and Bitburg (EDRB) based in 1967. Retired to MASDC in 1969 and believed scrapped by 1972.
