The Gulf War 'pink' paint is still very much apparent on this Buccaneer S2B. Under the pink paint the markings of 237 Operational Conversion Unit are just visible on the intake. This aircraft also carries a Phimat chaff dispenser under the port wing, a pod not often used on this type of aircraft.

A few months after this picture was taken, on 26 May 1992, this aircraft suffered a serious engine problem whilst on a low level training flight at Goose Bay and crashed. Thankfully the Aces II ejection seat worked as advertised and the pilot walked away unharmed.
