Joined Kenmore Air in 1995 and was rebuilt and converted to PT-6A turbine engine power. In 2005, received the scenic windows conversion and was repainted into a special overall blue, with yellow and red, colour scheme promoting Seattle's King5 TV's Evening Magazine programme about news and events in the Pacific Northwest.

Originally US Army 53-7921 1954 - 72 when stored at Coleman Barracks, Mannheim-Sandhofen, Germany. Sold at auction to B & M Aviation with a number of other DHC-2s, the aircraft was stored at their compound in Lachine, QC until sold to Kenmore Air in 1978. Becoming N9766Z in 1979 for South East Alaska Airlines in Ketchikan, the floatplane was acquired by Kenmore Air in 1985. It was extensively rebuilt after an accident in 1999 with many of the Kenmore designed upgrades. Pictured on Kenmore's historic launch ramp after a days flying, the aircraft is current with the airline at the time of uploading.
