First flown on 2 March 1953, the first prototype of a series of mixed-power supersonic aircraft intended as interceptors. Around twelve were built, but the program was cancelled in July 1957 despite promising performance being achieved. Only the one aircraft was preserved, displayed at the Musee de l'Air since 1956.

Registered as F-BGMQ, painted in French Air Force markings worn in service.

The Potez 63 in its basic form was a three-seat fighter, crewed by a pilot, a gunner and a commander who was supposed to direct formations of single-seat fighters. The initial Potez 630 version suffered from unreliable Hispano-Suiza 14Ab engines and was relegated to training duties.

The quality of the image/scan made the serial of this aircraft unreadable. The 540 was one of several slab-sided bombers developed in France before World War II. One of the 222 NAA-57 delivered and received by French Air Force before Armistice on 22 of June 1940. The NAA was French version of BT-9 used by USAAC and became the ancestor of the famous future T-6 Texan. Seen here with Caudron C-445 Goeland and Caudron C-630 Simoun requisitioned from civilian owner.
