The winter afternoon light falls on the TSR-2 displayed outdoors at IWM Duxford with its towbar attached. This was the fourth development batch airframe that was partially complete when the program was cancelled. The mission profile called for the highly advanced TSR-2 to fly 200 feet above ground level to deliver tactical nuclear weapons.

Repainted and recoded 'XI' for the reactivation ceremony of XI(F) Squadron in March 2007 and still on display with them. The text in the finband says '100 Years 1915 - 2015'. Unfortunately, the paint on the upper surfaces is deteriorating. Hopefully this 1965 Lightning will receive some care again soon.
