Arriving on a ferry flight from Guangzhou (CAN) as "Air Transat (TSC) 053" yesterday afternoon. This ex. Cebu Pacific, and Flypop aircraft is now the 13th A330 in the Air Transat fleet. Nice to see one back here as Covid killed all the TS Europe routes.

Delivered new to Dragonair on 20 June '97 (VR-HYE). Two weeks later re-registered B-HYE. Over to Air Transat in July 2009. wfu in March 2020. In February 2021 ferried to Mojave, for storage.

On winter lease from SmartLynx Malta is this fairly new 737-8 which was originally delivered to Eastar Jet in South Korea in Jan 2019. It was withdrawn from use after just two months in service and put into storage until the latter part of 2022 when it was taken up on lease by00 SmartLynx. Seen here on departure to Halifax as "Transat (TSC) 2655."

Del 28 Apr1999 Test Registration as F-WWKY Damage on 24th August 2001 at TER -airplane carrying 293 passengers and 13 crew on flight from Toronto to Lisbon ran out of fuel midway over North Atlantic and glided safely to U.S. Military AFB at Lajes in the Azores. Pilots noticed unusual rate of consumption earlier due to fuel leak in right engine and pointed airplane towards Azores before dual complete engine shutdown occurred and glided the A330 for 20 and a half minutes. all eight main gear tires blew out and deflated Registered to Thomas Cook Airlines Scandinavia as OY-VKK, AerCap as N271AD
