An impressive array of strain gauges decorates this venerable tanker aircraft. Fortunately its static test duties were only temporary, and this aircraft later returned to operational use unitil permanently withdrawn on 25 September 2013. On that day, this aircraft performed the last flight of a VC-10 worldwide.
