This 1985 Metro has an interesting history. It was originally N614AV with Air Virginia, which became Nashville Eagle. It then went to Flagship Airlines, then Wings West. In 1987 it was being operated for American Eagle. At some stage it was reacquired by the manufacturer and converted to the prototype Fairchild Multi Mission Surveillance Aircraft, carrying a phased-array radar in a long pod under the fuselage. Returned to standard configuration and exported to Australia, becoming VH-SSZ on 29 September 1994. It's been VH-EES since Jul 2001.

This 1985-model Metro went first to Pioneer Airlines as N2680V. In 1988 it was leased to Wings West Airlines, who re-registered it as N346AE in 1990. In March 1993 it was returned to the leasing company and later that year was sold in Australia, becoming VH-SSW on 15 December with Newcastle Aviation. It went to Pel-Air Express in December 1994, but was not re-registered until February 2002. This aircraft is actually VH-EER(4) - number 3 also being a Metro, just to make things confusing! Retired now.

This Metro was built for Kendell Airlines in 1993, but initially registered to Fairchild as N3021U for the ferry to Australia. It arrived at Kendell's Wagga base on 22 Aug and was re-registered VH-KAN on the 26th. After Kendell was sold, the aircraft was re-registered to Regional Express (Rex) on 2 Sept 2002. The Expediter is a purpose-built freighter with strengthened floor. This one was built in 1983 and registered N3114B, later going to United Parcel Service as N564UP. It was one of three Expediters obtained by Pel-Air in 1996 and was re-registered VH-EEO on 10 December that year. The Expediter is a purpose-built freighter with strengthened floor. This one was built in 1983 and registered N3113T, later going to United Parcel Service as N567UP. It was one of three Expediters obtained by Pel-Air in 1996 and was re-registered VH-EEP on 10 December that year. This shot shows it retired at the Rex maintenance base (Rex owns Pel-Air) awaiting disposal.
