Most of the aircraft in the background were gathering ready to take part in the Kings Cup Air Race to Swansea and back the following day. This aircraft was scrapped in 1981 after a take off crash at Sandown, IOW, on 10th July 1979.

The aircraft was never delivered to the USA but was restored to its original marks G-AWVK and served with Racal Decca Navigator as a Jetstream series 200. It was re-registered G-RAVL in December 1986 when ownership was transferred to Racal Avionics Ltd. and passed to Cranfield University in November 1989. Withdrawn from use and registration cancelled in January 2001, it was stored outside and was lapsing into dereliction until 2021 when it was rescued by the Sywell Aviation Museum, who have restored the aircraft to excellent static display condition.

This aircraft was re-registered as G-FALC on 19th February 1981.
