Damaged over Berlin, B-17F 42-3490 headed for Sweden and landed in Malmö on 21 June 1944. One of seven B-17s converted to F-17 Felix transports by Saab, SE-BAN was used by SILA, a company merged into SAS in 1948. Withdrawn from use in October 1948 and scrapped in 1950. The reason of this visit to Schiphol is not certain, but other photos show children in winter clothing who were possibly given a holiday in Sweden.
