This Skylancer (ex-BuNo 142350) is the only survivor of four produced to simulate the flight characteristics of a planned re-entry space vehicle. As this plane was flown by Neil Armstrong in the early sixties it sits outside the museum dedicated to his accomplishments in his home town. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
