Although wearing serial 44-11622 and the markings of Leonard "Kit" Carson, pilot of the 362nd Fighter Squadron, 357th Fighter Group, "Nooky Booky IV" is in fact the former USAAF 44-74427 and RCAF 9592. It flew in the US as N2251D for almost 40 years, before coming to Nîmes, France in December 1999 with its new owner Jean-Claude Beaudet. It is now part of the Amicale Jean Baptiste Salis Association at La Ferté-Alais. This photo is copyright © Aad van der Voet, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
