At the Aviation Museum at YMMB. Designed by Ronald Gilbert Wheeler in 1974-75, probably the most basic 3-axis flying machine in the world, the "forefather" of all Australian ultralights, it was the first commercially available aircraft in its class. Equipped with an 8 hp lawnmower engine, it utilised rudder and elevator for yaw and pitch, and wing warping for roll. The Australian Government regulations of 1976 restricted flight operations of such aircraft to no higher than 300 feet AGL This photo is copyright © Andrei Bezmylov, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
