Right from the day it was first delivered in 1936, this Waco of the Deutsches Museum almost exclusively operated on floats in Alaska until moving to the continental USA in 1969. Twenty years later it underwent a lengthy restoration, after which the aircraft was delivered to Germany in April 1997. It is now based at Schleissheim and flown by Marwig Herzog.
