This aircraft was built by Aeronca at Middleton, OH and delivered to the USAAF Training Command in Dec 1942. It served mainy with the 51st FTG at Van de Graaf Field, Tuscaloosa, AL and 2154th ABU at Fletcher Field, Clarksdale, MS before being SOC in 1945. Down the years it passed through various private owners before arriving at the MAPS Air Museum in 2002 for restoration and display. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
