This C47 was delivered in1944 to the US Army Air Force. After that to the French Air Force in 1953 and in 1955 to the South Vietnamese Air Force until 1964. It arrived at Davis Monthan in 1968 for storage still wearing South Vietnamese markings. 14 years later it still wears the same yellow/red/blue roundel.
