Croatia Airlines was formed after Croatia announced its independence from Yugoslavia. At first prefix RC (Republic of Croatia) was used before Croatia received its official prefix 9A. These RC prefixes were used for only two months in 1992, so pictures of aircraft wearing these are extremely rare.
