VH-UMO was registered in 1929 as a Moth Coupe with a Gipsy I engine. Whether it did have an enclosed cockpit when it arrived in Australia is not known but by 1946 did have open cockpits. In this 1964 photo it has an "inverted" Gipsy engine as fitted to Tiger Moths. -UMO crashed in September 1965 and was removed from the register. It returned in 1993 but with no recent photos, it may be a project and not an active aircraft. Its engine is listed as a Gipsy II, which is not inverted Gipsy.
