The Flying Hoorn 2015 event was a bit windy, which made for some very nice photos. The Dutch Catalina is seen here settling down on the water of the Hoornsche Hop off Hoorn, at the end of one of several pleasure flights. Photo taken from a RIB (rigid-inflatable boat), a very bumpy and wet ride under these breezy conditions. Regrettably, after having spent 24 years of its live in the Netherlands, this magnificent aircraft was sold to the Collins Foundation on 11 Oct 2018.
