C/n 88-14661 ex Portuguese AF 1505, South African AF 7441, EX894, 41-33867. Destroyed on 22 June 1982 in a crash in Malta that sadly killed pilot and owner Ted White and his friend Mark Campbell. Ted was instrumental in bringing to the UK B-17G 'Sally B', which was so named for his close companion Elly Sallingboe, who was also the inspiration for the Harvard's registration G-ELLY. This is also the reason that Sally B carries one engine marked the same as this aircraft. This photo is copyright © Chris Cole, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
