VH-JSP was transferred to the Recreational Aircraft register as 19-4491 in March 2006. Wedderburn airport was carved out of rugged bushland to the south-west of Sydney for the Sports Aircraft Club of NSW. It hosts regular events for club members. There are about 80 private hangars on the site. It now has a sealed runway but in 1983 it was gravel.
