Delivered to El Al in 06/61 as 4X-ATB. A terrorist hijacking incident took place on board on September 6, 1970, but the aircraft was not badly damaged and continued to serve with El Al and later Arkia until 1985. It was returned to Boeing for the KC-135 conversion program, but Boeing chose to donate the aircraft to Berlin's Technikmuseum in honor of the city's 750th anniversary in 1987. Originally placed on public display in Lufthansa colors with the fake registration "D-ABOC," the aircraft was moved to a remote corner of Tegel airport around 2000 to serve as a fire trainer. Left derelict, it was scrapped in May 2021. This photo is copyright © Edward Kehler, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
