Sometimes known as the Fairchild F-46 but developed by Fairchild subsidiary Duramold. Duramold was patented process of using heat and pressure to mould a plywood-resin material into shape. Used to make radomes but more dramatically the Hughes Hercules. Only one F-46 built. This photo is copyright © Geoff Goodall, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
