Pictured during a visit to Mirage 2000 air base Hsinchu, this Taiwanese indigenously built AIDC AT-3, named Tzu Chiang, jet trainer. The type was developed from March 1975 by AIDC as an advanced jet trainer that could replace the aging T-33A of the RoCAF. The first prototype 0801 (69-6001) first took off on 16 September 1980. More than sixty AT-3s were ordered. This photo is copyright © Stephan de Bruijn, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
