On 31 October 2019, the first operational F-35A for the Royal Netherlands Air Force was delivered to Leeuwarden air base. The Lightning II will be assigned to 322sq at this base. AN-9 is built by the Final Assembly and Check-Out (FACO) line in Cameri (Italy) under supervison of Lockheed Martin. Here F-009 is making a pass over the ceremony aerea before landing.
