Built in 1943 for US Navy as a Lockheed PV-1 Ventura BuAer 34661. Transferred to RAF as FP570 but diverted to SAAF as 6414. Withdrawn in 1960. To Howard Aero Inc in 1961 and converted to Howard 500 in 1963. Registered N4362F from October 1969 until April 1979. Currently airworthy as N500HP.
