Delivered to the USAAF as serial 44-70277 then civilianized as NC54316 in 1945. In 1949 it became VO-ABX, one of the few aircraft registered in Newfoundland. Registered as above in 1950 and served numerous operators, with the one shown here being the last before export as N225BL in 1999. Operated in Alaska until, on 11 July 2009, it suffered its second serious accident which seems to have ended its flying days. Last known of (2020) on display at the Sandspit/BC air terminal, still painted as N225BL although cancelled as expired 3 July 2021. Photographed near the Green Airways mooring.
