After service with the RCAF, the National Research Council took this aircraft in 1965 as CF-SVP-X and fitted it with extensive magnetic anomaly equipment for experimental work, flying her for ten years. Sold in 11.78, by this time the world's last flying example of the type. Owned by Aircraft Salvage of Dallas, and allegedly used for smuggling in the Caribbean until 1980.
