32TFS aircraft armed with AIM-4 Falcons and AIM-7 Sparrows returning from a scramble mission, during which the aircraft would be in the air in a few minutes to intercept intruders from behind the Iron Curtain. The Sparrows would serve for a considerable time on the Phantom and later the F-15s of the 32nd, but the Falcons--possibly a legacy from the Delta Dagger era of the 32nd--were soon to be phased out.
