These giants were almost as common as BEA Vanguards in the skies over where I lived in the UK. I recorded seeing 122 different examples 1963-69. This one entered service in the early 1950s and was retired to MASDC on 9 April 1969 as the type was replaced with the Hercules and Starlifter.
