These three 23 Sqn Lightnings had already made their last flights by the time of this photo. Behind are F.1As XM169 (W) and XM177 (Y). XM144 had previously served the Leuchars and Wattisham TFFs, Leconfield Stn Flt, 226 OCU and 74 Sqn. After use for ground instruction at Leuchars, restored in 74 Sqn marks and placed as gate guard till 9.89.
