Built in 1953 as US Army 53-4755, it went to the Belgian Army where it was taken on charge in Oct-1954 as L77. Around 1963 this was changed to OL-L77. Struck off charge it became D-EKKK in Jul-1971. In Jun-1981 it was registered OO-KKK. On 16-Oct-2011 it was destroyed in a crash 450m from the Verviers-Theux airfield, just after take-off from runway 06 for a local flight. The two persons on board were killed. The cause of the accident was found to be an improper take-off setting with stabilizer trim in full nose-up position causing a stall during initial climb. Report AAIU-2011-25.
