The 45th Tactical Fighter Squadron "Hoosier Hogs" swapped from A-37 to A-10 in 1981 at Grissom AFB (IN). The squadron was inactivated on 1 October 1994, but reactivated on 1 November 2009 as an Air Force Reserve Command unit at Davis-Monthan AFB (AZ). as part of the 355th Fighter Wing.
