The BAe 146STA (Sideloading Tactical Airlifter) was intended as a military transport based on the 146QT cargo aircraft, with the same left rear cargo door. This demonstrator, fitted with a dummy refuelling probe and an air-openable paratroop door, was the second 146 to be built (G-SSHH). Despite extensive demonstration tours but there were no orders. The aircraft eventually went to National Jet in Australia as VH-NJV This photo is copyright © Richard Vandervord, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
