At the time operated by F 7 at Såtenäs, this early Viggen ended up on the dump at Ängelholm after instructional use in F 10 marks. The AJ37 was a single-seat ground-attack fighter aircraft, with a secondary fighter role, many undergoing electronic upgrades around 1992 to AJS37 in order to carry Sidewinder missiles.
