The Planes of Fame Museum's Republic P-47G "Razorback" Thunderbolt, the Spirit of Atlantic City. Cal Aero Technical Institute used the airframe as a mechanic training aid from 1950 to 1955.It was restored to flying condition at Kirtland AFB, NM. The restoration began in 1958, and it first flew in 1963, when it received its current registration.It crashed during an airshow at NAS Pt. Mugu, Ca., on October 23, 1971. It flew again in 1976.
