This is a magnificent restoration of this 1942 built fighter in the Technical Museum in Berlin. The aircraft crash landed on a frozen lake between Murmansk and Leningrad on January 11th 1943. It sank when the ice thawed and was recovered in 1991 and was acquired by the museum in 1997. This photo is copyright © Mick Bajcar, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
