The Voodoo became the principle aircraft of the 98th FIS stationed at Dover AFB in from mid-1950s to the mid-1960s. Their job was to defend Washington DC and the Eastern US during the Cold War period. This example has been smartly restored to represent one of them, although in fact its actual service history was with the 49th FIS (Griffiss AFB, NY), 60th FIS (Otis AFB, MA) and 107th TFG NY ANG (Niagara Falls) This photo is copyright © Richard Vandervord, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
