Here can be seen the method used for lifting floatplanes out of the water and moving around. The carrying device is positioned under the float spreader bars, then hydraulically lifts the whole aircraft. A half-car is often used as the two wheel configuration is more maneuverable than four and favorite model is a 1970s Oldsmobile Toronado which has front-wheel drive.
