The Tigercat was a high-performance carrier-borne fighter flown by the USN and USMC from 1944 to 1954. Although too late to see combat service in WW2, it did so in Korea. This example was originally BuAer no. 80374 and at the time of this photo was part of Sis-Q's varied water-bomber fleet. Under restoration to flying condition at Chino in 2011, should be one of six flyable and 12 surviving altogether This photo is copyright © Richard Vandervord, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
