An interesting day, albeit with atrocious weather, at Gatwick with several extra flights for a W. Germany-England football match (Germany won) including Aviaction F28s and Modern Air CV990s. This Bavaria 1-11, wearing a registration later re-used on a DC-9, was originally intended for Channel Airways in 1968 but joined the German airline in 4.69.
