Only the second 707 ever to visit Southend, little did we know what an important part of the scene they'd become there 20 years or so later. Just six months old at the time of this shot, this late-build machine stayed with Nigeria Airways throughout its life until w/o in a crash after take-off from Lagos on 20.12.94 This photo is copyright © Richard Vandervord, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
