For a few years, the daily British Airways flight from London Heathrow to San Diego has been operated by a 747-400 in the winter season and a 777-300/ER in the summer season, although the flight went to year-round 747 service in 2020, or at least was planned to do so until the COVID-19 global health crisis changed everything.
