Chinese production of the Antonov An-2, begun in 1957 as the Y-5, was transferred from Nanching to Shijiazhuang Aircraft in 1970 after 728 examples had been produced. This rare but derelict Y-5C floatplane variant was one of six built for the Navy from 1964. Before fading, the serial on the other side read as '21397', but it is believed that a rudder swap (from 21353?) has caused confusion This photo is copyright © Richard Vandervord, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
