The 89th Flying Training Squadron "Banshees" is part of the 80th Flying Training Wing based at Sheppard AFB (TX). From 2007 onwards, the Tweety was replaced by the T-6 Texan II in conducting flight training. The squadron supports undergraduate pilot training for US and allied students from, 1973-1981 and has been part of the Euro-NATO Joint Pilot Training Program since October 1981.
