A close up of the nose. The port side of most US military aircraft has a 'Technical Data Block' and here it states the serial is 60-011 and that the aircraft is a B-52H-135-BW. The pilot is Lt Col Daniel A Kosin while the Louisiana outline (where the aircraft was based) gives the crew chiefs as SSGTs J. Vega and K. Smith. The blue badge is of the 2d Bomb Wing, the oldest bomb group in the US Air Force and the motto, in Latin 'Libertatem Defendimus', translates as 'We defend liberty'.
