Three UN Mi-8s in front of very nice and busy background. Other helicopters are Mi-8Ts RA-24135 and RA-24146. All three possibly stored. UNO number unfortunately not readable. RA-27114 was written off on 2 November 2007 while on a cargo flight from Ganta (Nimba County) to Loguatuo (on the Liberian-Ivorian border) when the tail rotor came off, only three minutes after take-off. The helicopter that only had some 3,500 flight hours on the meters, crashed into trees at the Forfor rubber farm (on the outskirts of Sanniquellie town, 265 km north-east of Monrovia). Unfortunately, all thee crew were killed in the accident. This photo is copyright © Simon Telliks, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
