The SA342Ma is a modification to the SA342M and L1 - which are capable of carrying the Euromissile HOT anti-tank and Mistral very short range air-to-air missiles. The Ma variant is retrofitted with three AS555 Ecureuil main rotorblades that gave the ageing Gazelle improved performances.
